SOUTH PITTSBURG, TN: William Mark Wade, age 48, passed away Thursday, August 6, 2020 after a long battle with cancer. Mark loved music and shared his musical talents writing gospel songs and playing in different churches, beginning as a teenager and up until his death.
A graduate of the Class of 1990 of North Sand Mountain High School in Higdon, AL, Mark received four musical scholarships and attended Gadsden State Community College and transferred to Athens State, achieving his BS in Behavioral Science. Later he pursued a graduate degree at Alabama A&M. Mark was employed for the State of Alabama for seventeen years where he worked as a Career Link Facilitator.
He was preceded in death by his adoptive parents Ray and Edna Wade of Bryant, AL. and later Ms. Wade who resided in Dalton, GA until her death.
Mark is survived by his wife, Sue Wade, sister Lynn Wade, and brother-in-law Hugh Knight all of South Pittsburg; three sisters-in-law Karen Ellis (Guild, TN), Martha Watson and Janet Winnie (South Pittsburg), mother-in-law Opal Knight (Guild, TN). Other survivors include aunts and uncles Frances (Jim) Brown, Joyce (Tony) Cooper, Jerry (Betty) Wade, Gene (Rovena) Wade, Eddie Wade and Glen Wade, Roy (Belinda) Elrod and Junior (Paulette) Elrod, Aunt Ruth Wade.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM EDT Saturday, August 8, 2020 in the Bryant Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Pastor Rodney McGill officiating. Burial will follow in the State Line Cemetery, Cole City, TN.
Family will receive friends Saturday 11:00 AM ~ 3:00 PM EDT at the Bryant Chapel.
