BRYANT AL: William M. “Pawpaw Bill” Jones age 84, a loving father and grandfather passed away, Monday, September 08, 2014. He was retired from AT & T and was a retired Army Command Sergeant Major of the 30th Armour Division. He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and Communication Workers of America.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Otis Jones; mother, Christine Elizabeth Miller and brother, Clifford Jones.
Survivors include his daughter, Lisa K. (Bobby) Phillips, Apison, Tennessee; sons, Jerry (Pat) Jones, Bryant, Alabama and Ronnie (Teresa) Jones, Bryant, Alabama; grandchildren, Kami Green, Cassie Miles, Nicholas Poe, Heath Jones and Katie Merriman; six great grandchildren, Landon Green, Toby Merriman, Brayden Ellison, Leyton Green, Skylar Merriman, Maddox Poe; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
The family would like to express their thanks to Alacare Hospice, Joyce Grisham and John Halley.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM EDT Wednesday, September 10, 2014 in the Bryant Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Todd Smith and Brother Steve Townson officiating. Interment will be held in Oak Lawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held Tuesday 11:00 AM EDT ~ 8:00 PM EDT Wednesday 11:00 AM ~ 3:00 PM EDT
