Wanda Faye James

Wanda Faye James, 67, of Trenton, GA passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2024.

A funeral service to honor Wanda's life will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at 1:00 PM ET in the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Pastor Reece Fauscett officiating. After the service, Wanda will be laid to rest at Brown Gap Cemetery.

Friends and loved ones are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Monday from 4:00 – 8:00 PM and on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until the service hour.

Born on October 3, 1956, Wanda was the daughter of the late Woodrow and Lillian Culbert Wooten. Known affectionately as "Big Mawmaw" by her family, she cherished her loved ones and held a special place in her heart for each one of them. Wanda was not only a devoted mother but also an excellent cook who nurtured her family with delicious meals. Her nurturing spirit extended not only to her immediate family but also to others who considered her a mother figure.  She was a member of the Eastern Star and United Church of God.

Wanda's memory lives on through her children, Jessica (Kevin) Morris, James Hunter, Jason (Katie) Hunter, and Jason (Amber) James; her siblings, JoAnn Taylor, Mary Dowdy, Woody Wooten, Bobby Wooten, Freddie Wooten, and John Wooten; twelve grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several extended family members and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Larry James, and siblings, Marie Harris, Marlene Sims, Sally Wade, and Eddie Wooten.

Wanda's memory will forever live on in the hearts of all those who were touched by her love, kindness, and nurturing spirit.
