CLOUDLAND, GA: Wanda Lucille Hartline, age 86, died peacefully on Sunday, November 14th with her family by her side. It was a beautiful, sunny Lord’s Day and the perfect day to see Jesus face to face! PRAISE THE LORD! She was a faithful member of New Salem Baptist Church until her health began to fail.
Miss Wanda was a resident of Dade County in the Head River Community for 62 years, where she and her husband raised their children and many bountiful gardens which they shared with family and friends. She worked many years, Peerless Woolen Mill, E.T. Barwick, Roper Corporation where she retired, then to Shaw to work and retire again.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband Luther Martin Hartline; sons Kenneth Martin “Bo” Hartline and Boyd Lee Hartline; parents Albert and Pauline Chapman; Jackie and Robert Autwell (sister and brother-in-law); Wallace and Doramae Chapman (brother and sister-in-law); Nolan and Luella Chapman (brother and sister-in-law).
This precious mother is survived by her loving family Loretta and Larry Roper (daughter and son-in-law); Dennis and Janet Hartline (son and daughter-in-law); Lori and Jason Perry (granddaughter and spouse); Heather Leigh Simmons and Stephen Jacobs (granddaughter and fiance’); Dorothy Hartline Maxwell and Yvonne Hartline (sisters-in-law). Other survivors include Teresa Hartline, Boyd Lee Hartline, Jr. (Missy Hartline), and Boyd Lee Hartline III; nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at 11:00 AM ET at New Salem Baptist Church with Pastor Jim Hixon and Brother James Gibson officiating. She will be laid to rest at Little River Cemetery, Mentone, AL.
The family will receive friends Tuesday 4:00 PM ~ 8:00 PM ET at the funeral home and Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at New Salem Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be DeWayne Autwell, Howard Autwell, Ricky Autwell, Clifford Hartline, John Hartline, Jason Perry, and Stephen Jacobs.
