Wanda Couch

Elwanda Harriod Couch, age 69, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 17, 2023, at her home in Gaylesville, AL. Her loved ones surrounded her during her final moments.

A graveside service to honor Wanda’s life will be held at Hooker Cemetery on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at 12:00 PM. 

Wanda was born on April 15, 1954, in Arab, AL to the late James and Louella Sharp Harriod. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt throughout her life. Her unwavering love for her family was evident in all that she did.

Wanda cherished the precious moments spent with her beloved grandbabies. She also enjoyed fishing and enthusiastically cheered for the Alabama football team.

She is survived by her children, Deborah S. and Wanda McMaster; her sister Virginia Graham of Lookout Valley, TN; her brothers, William, Lee, and Edgar (Michelle) Harriod of Lookout Valley, TN; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; her favorite dog, Jack as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will forever hold her dear in their hearts.

In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Couch; and brothers Max Sharp and Edd Harriod.

These arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Moore Funeral Home in Trenton, GA.
