WALLACE KIPP
BRYANT, AL: Wallace Martin Kipp was born in Caldwell, Idaho, December 10, 1926 to Everett Charles and Myrtle Perry Kipp. He was inducted into the United States Army immediately after his eighteenth birthday, went into training near Fort Worth, Texas, and was on shipboard on the Pacific, expecting to die in the invasion of Japan, when World War II ended. He served in the rehabilitation of Korea. He was a member of the Floral Crest Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
January 19, 1957 Wallace married Catherine “Kitty” Zact. Kitty died in 1994. December 26, 1998, he married Julia Steiner Godfrey Rikustad. After her death in 2010, Wallace came to live on Sand Mountain. He passed away April 1, 2015.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wives Kitty and Julia, his sister Beth, brothers LeRoy and Roger, his adopted daughter Carol Rikustad Muth, and his step-grandson Gregory Pyke.
He is survived by his brothers Morgan and Gerald Kipp, both of California; his sister Estelle Howe, of Caldwell, Idaho; Carol’s sons Durant and Preston Muth of Walla Walla, Washington; his step-son Lyle Godfrey of Wayzata, Minnesota; his stepdaughter Helen Pyke of Bryant, Alabama; stepson David Rikustad of Texas; step-grandchildren Bret and Jason Godfrey, Douglas Pyke, and Emily Hemandez, Bridget Hill, Candice Finley, and Simone Rikustad, and several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Memorial service will be held Sunday, April 5, 2015 at Floral Crest Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Bryant, AL, at 2:00 PM EDT, with Pastor Carlis Clinton
