Virginia May Yancy, 72, of Ider, AL passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2022.
Graveside services will be held at 4:00 PM ET on Monday, September 26, 2022 at Brown Gap Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home on Monday from 1:00 PM – 3:30 PM.
Virginia was born on January 4, 1950 in Higdon, AL to the late Thomas and Ilean Williams. She was a member of Ider Holiness Church and stayed active visiting and helping people. Virginia loved to garden and could make anything grow. She enjoyed shopping at thrift stores with her sisters and eating at Cracker Barrel. Virginia was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Yancy and brother, Coy Williams.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Cindy (Chad) Spurgeon, Michelle (Tony) Kesler and Nathan (Marina) Yancy; sisters, Mable Gilbert and Jandle (Terry) Holley; grandchildren, Colby (Madison) Wagner, Austin (Ashlee) Wagner, Mikala (Bailey) Siniard, Sam, Luke and Adriana Yancy, Cooper Spurgeon; great-grandchildren, Quinn and Sawyer Wagner; and a host of friends.
