Toney Glendell Davidson

A Graveside Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm EST Monday, February 8th at Oaklawn Memorial Garden in Bryant, AL for Toney G. Davidson, 78 of Bryant, who died Friday, February 5, 2021. Bro. Dennis Byrum will officiate. Moore Funeral Home will direct the service.

Toney was one of the kindest and most gentle people that you will ever meet. He loved his family with all of his heart, and spent a lifetime providing for their ever need. His devotion to his family was endless, especially to his wife, Doris Davidson, with whom he shared 50 years of marriage. They are members of Bryant Free Home Holiness Church.

Toney is survived by his wife, Doris, and son Jason (Laci) Davidson, Bryant, AL; grandchildren, Brilyn and Britton Davidson; sisters-in-law, Jane Davidson, Juanita Davidson, and Cartha Graves; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his mother and father, Sammy and Zina Davidson of Guntersville, AL; brothers, Hoyt Davidson, Leaster (Ruth) Davidson, Clyde (Goldie) Davidson, Randolph Davidson, Max (Ila Jay) Davidson; sisters, Jewell (Dudley) Powell, Joyce (Kenneth) Spears; Parents-in-law John Sam and Flossie Graves; Brothers-in-law, Sam William (Sherrill) Graves, and Jerry Wayne Graves.

Those outside of his family knew Toney was a dedicated and loyal friend and co-worker. He had retired from Shaw in 2007 after 47 years of service. His life was full of love, laughter, and blessings. He enjoyed yard work and gardening. Those who had the privilege of knowing Toney knew that they were the lucky ones.

Pallbearers will be Ross Davidson, Steve Davidson, Layton Holman, Cody Taylor, Mike Taylor, and Will Smith.
