Sherry Conaway Willingham

Sherry Conaway Willingham, a beloved resident of Wildwood, GA, passed away on May 20th, 2023 at the age of 65. Born on August 5th, 1957 in Rome, GA to parents Stanley Allan Conaway and Glenda Conaway, Sherry was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who will be deeply missed.

A Memorial Gathering to celebrate her life will be held at Moore Funeral Home in Trenton on Thursday, May 25th from 4 pm - 7 pm. The family invites all friends to join them at this time.

A private family graveside service will be held at Lake Hills Memorial Gardens with Brother Jerry Atkins and Brother Tommy Crider officiating.

During her career, Sherry worked as a clerk for the Dade County Government for many years. Her dedication to her work and willingness to assist others will not be forgotten.

Sherry was an independent and loyal person who loved advocating for animals. Photography and gardening were among her hobbies. She was also known for being an expert popcorn popper who loved music and travel.

Sherry was predeceased by her father, Stanley Allan Conaway; husband, DeWayne Willingham; sister, Lisa Townsend; brother, Jeff Conaway; and niece, Natalie Hope Tomblin.  She is survived by her mother, Glenda Conaway; sister, Lori (Nathan) Tomblin; brothers, Greg (April) Conaway and David (Lisa) Conaway; brother-in-law, Don Townsend; several nieces and nephews.

While we mourn Sherry's passing with heavy hearts, we take comfort knowing that she is now at peace. Her spirit will always live on within all who knew her during this time of great loss.
