Sally Ellis

Theldon “Sally” Virginia Ellis, aged 94, of Bryant, AL, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2024. 

A graveside service to honor Sally’s life will be held on Monday, August 19, 2024 at 11:00 AM ET at Straightway Cemetery in Bryant, AL. The service will be officiated by Brother Wayne Winters and Brother Brad Bridges. No services will be held at the funeral home.

Born on April 7, 1930, to the late Arthur Eli and Bonnie Smith Kinsey, Sally found joy in tending to her flower garden and creating beautiful floral arrangements. An avid fisherman, she cherished the time spent in nature. Above all, Sally deeply loved her family and held them close to her heart. She was a member of Bryant Baptist Church.

Sally is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Elmer “Dugan” Ellis; her grandson, Adam Ellis; and one sister along with three brothers. She leaves behind her children, Gail (Pat) Weller and Gerald “Bobo” (Debbie) Ellis; her grandsons, Shawn Weller and Nathan Ellis; six great-grandchildren; and several extended family members and friends.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Hearth Hospice and the 5th-floor nursing staff at Memorial Hospital for their compassionate care during this time.
