He is preceded in death by his parents, J.P. Higdon and Annie Morgan Higdon Barber.
Survivors include his sons, Roy Lee Higdon and Eric Dean Higdon of Knoxville, TN; sisters, Barbara Woodruff, Alexander City, AL, Maggie Murphy, Sylacauga, AL, Viola Copeland, Fair Hope, AL and Marie Buchanan, Ooltewah, TN; brother, James Higdon, Bryant, AL.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM EDT Thursday, March 19, 2015 in the Bryant Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Wayne Winters officiating. Burial will be held in Harris Chapel Cemetery, Long Island, Alabama.
Visitation will be held Thursday 11:00 AM ~ 3:00 PM EDT
