Ronald Leon Castleberry, affectionately known as "Ronnie," passed away peacefully at his home in Trenton, Georgia, on February 25, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on March 24, 1949, Ronnie lived a fulfilling life, marked by his unwavering kindness and dedication to family and faith.
Ronnie enjoyed a successful career in the garage door business, where he sold and installed garage doors until his retirement. A skilled craftsman at heart, he took great pleasure in building things, often finding joy in creating useful and beautiful objects.
His quiet, kind demeanor made him a welcoming presence in the lives of those who knew him. Ronnie cherished his family and looked forward to their Sunday dinners. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Trenton and took his faith seriously, engaging in mission work when he was able. His commitment to Christianity was a guiding principle throughout his life.
A veteran of the United States Navy, Ronnie lived with a sense of duty and honor that was evident to all who crossed his path. He had a passion for collecting classic cars and took pride in each of his prized possessions.
Ronnie is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Barbara Castleberry, his mother, Thelma Castleberry; brothers, Leslie (Shirley) Castleberry, Roger (Cathy) Castleberry, and Teddy (Kara) Castleberry; sister, Thelma Jean Belue; as well as nieces and nephews, Jeff Glover, David Glover, Cory Castleberry, Kristy Castleberry, and Aundrea Trotman. He is also survived by his cherished fur babies, Gabriel Joe and Sammy Joe.
A funeral service to honor and celebrate Ronnie’s life will be held on Saturday, March 1st at 1:00 in the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Betty Cornett and Brother Tim Renshaw officiating. After the service, he will rest at Lake Hills Memorial Gardens.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Saturday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Ronnie Castleberry will be remembered as a dedicated husband, a caring brother, and a community member whose legacy of kindness and service will endure in the hearts of all who knew him.
