S. PITTSBURG, TN: Ray Earl Whited, age 68, formerly of Bryant, AL, passed away January 8, 2014. He enjoyed spending time with his loving family.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 33 years, Mary Diane Whited; parents Willie and Cora Whited; eleven brothers and sisters – Gordon, Frances, Edward, Nellie Mae, Anna Ruth, Rema, Rena, Nancy, Lois Sue, Willie Houston, and Mamie.
Survivors include his daughter, Desiree Nichole Whited; step-daughters Lula Lee (Missie) Higdon and Edwina Rae Sar Velez; step-son John Arthur Padgett; sisters Cora Belle Upton, Jane Ousley, and Helen Norris; brother Martin Young Whited; six step-grandchildren – William, James, Jon, Allie, Katelyn, and Cassie; and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM EST Saturday, January 11, 2014, in the Bryant Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Whited officiating. Burial will follow in Whited Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday 12:00 – 9:00 PM; Saturday 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM EST.
