RALPH CHASTAIN, SR
NEW SALEM, GA: Ralph E. Chastain, Sr., a long-time resident of the New Salem Community passed away Friday, December 4, 2015 at his home in San Antonio, Texas. He was born August 24, 1915 to Samuel and Cecile Chastain of Rock Springs. His passing was on the 72nd anniversary of his marriage to Winona Chastain, who preceded him in death on June 6, 2010.
He is survived by his children, Ralph Chastain, Jr. and wife Mildred of Monticello, Arkansas; Sherolyn Green-Rawley and husband Rick of San Antonio, Texas and Judy Newlan and husband Ralph of Marshall, Texas; grandchildren Kassandra Green and Michael (Amy) Green; great-grandchildren Curtis, Larek and Hampton; nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, December 11, 2015 at the New Salem United Methodist Church with Reverend Jodie Ihfe officiating. Burial will follow in Hawkins Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Thursday 4:00 PM~ 8:00 PM EDT at the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the New Salem Neighborhood Watch or Hawkins Cemetery.
