Pam Black

Pamela “Pam” Renee Black, age 52, peacefully passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at her home in Flat Rock, Alabama.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate Pam’s life will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025 at 1:00 PM ET. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Payne Gap Cemetery.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM ET and on Friday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.

Pam was known for her fun-loving spirit and big heart. She selflessly went out of her way to help others and cherished the relationships she formed throughout her life. Family meant everything to her, and she loved them deeply while enjoying precious time spent together. Her unwavering faith in Jesus was also a central part of her life.

Pamela is survived by her husband, Buck Black; her mother, Martha Turner; her children, Ashley (Jeri) Clines, Matthew (Christy) Stone, and Lane (Destiny Hatfield) Black; her sisters, Veronica Shankles and Annette Scott; her brothers, Don Shankles and Ricky White; and her beloved grandchildren, Zoey, Taten, Ethan, and Evan Clines, as well as Arora, Caiden, and Kinsley Stone. She will also be remembered fondly by her grand-dog, Cooper Lee, and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Shankles Sr., and her mother-in-law, Lois Ann Hughes.

Pam's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
