LOOKOUT MTN. GA: Orville York, Jr. age 86 a lifelong resident of Lookout Mountain, passed away, Saturday, June 27, 2015. He was retired from Hamilton Concrete with 38 years of service. He was a master carpenter and brick mason, following his retirement he and Ruth established Dust Of Ages specializing in “Hoosier Cabinets.”
He is preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Virginia York; brothers, Lloyd York and Raymond “Pee Wee” York.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years Ruth York; daughter, Sabie York (Steve) Holley, Chattanooga, TN; son, Keith ( Donna) Durkee, Murfreesboro, TN; sisters, Trish Bailey, Freda (Larry) Wooten and Delmalee (J.L.) Black; brothers, Bill (Beulah Ann) York, Darvin (Loretta) York, Charles (Brenda) York and Harold York.
Mr. York’s visitation will be held 4:00 ~ 7:00 PM, Tuesday, June 30, 2015
