Mrs. Opal Chrenko

Della Opal Chrenko, age 83, of Lookout Mountain, GA, passed away peacefully at home on November 10, 2022, surrounded by those who loved her.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm ET on Sunday, November 13, 2022 in the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Lookout Mountain, GA.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Saturday 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm and Sunday 11:00 am - 1:00 pm ET.

Opal enjoyed cooking, sewing, ceramics, Bingo, shopping, and spending time with family, especially grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Her proudest accomplishment was being “Grandmama”.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Al Chrenko; grandson, Bobby Joe Holcomb; parents, Willie Emma Rogers Holcomb and Polk Richard Holcomb; siblings Grace Holcomb, Carl Richard Holcomb, Mary Jane Bonds, Miller Hugh Holcomb, Mildred Lou Smith, and Emma Delilah Carden.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Donna Kay (Ron) Wesley and Debbie Hila Holcomb; son, Doyle Willis (Janie) Holcomb; eleven grandchildren, Alisha (Jason) Blair, Mike Holcomb, Katie (Will) Wilbanks, Belinda Holcomb, Patrick (Sara) Wesley, Dana (Daniel) Watts, DJ (Amanda) Pace, Dustin Pace, Dillon (Heather) Pace, Donovan (Ansleigh) Long, Dalton Long; twenty-one great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

The family would like to thank the nurses and care givers of Hearth Hospice for their loving care during this time.
