Millie Juanita Atchley

Millie Juanita Atchley, age 79, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2024, at a local healthcare facility in Trenton, GA. She showed incredible strength throughout her battle with Alzheimer's disease.

A funeral service honoring Juanita’s life will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 1:00 PM in the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at Bryant Holiness Cemetery in Bryant, AL.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM and on Thursday from 11:00 AM until the service hour.

Juanita was born on March 23, 1944 and was the daughter of the late Omer and Auda West Barton. Remembered for her warmth and kindness, Juanita was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She spent many years serving as a cook at Brock's Restaurant.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Kim (Tony) Meschino; sister, Wanda Langley; grandchildren, Crystal Lynn Meschino and Billy Joe Atchley; great-grandchildren, Emily Alsobrook, Willian Hudson, and Chrisma Hudson; several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

In addition to her parents, Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Gene Atchley; daughter, Tammy Lynn Whited; sisters, Legatha Morrow, Shirley Taylor, Yvonne Goff, and Sabra Weathers; and her brothers, Junior Barton, Doley Barton, and Noel Barton.
