MILLARD PENNINGTON
TRENTON, GA: Millard Almon Pennington, passed away Friday, August 16, 2013 at Dade Rehabilitation Center. He retired from Southern Centrifugal after 26 years of service. Mr. Pennington was an ordained Deacon at Union Baptist Church, Flat Rock, Alabama and a recent member of Edgewood Baptist Church, Trenton, Georgia. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy serving in World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Iona Christopher Pennington; daughters, Faye (R.D.) Johnson, Chattanooga, Tennessee, Jean (Gary) Tipton and Brenda Buchanan of Trenton, Georgia; sons, Wayne (Faye) Pennington, Ringgold, Georgia, Randy (Sheila) Pennington, Rock Springs, Georgia; twelve grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren; sisters, LaGatha James, Jacksonville, Florida, Ethel Davidson, Flat Rock, Alabama; Geraldine Britt, Pisgah, Alabama; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:30 PM EDT Sunday August 18, 2013 with Reverend Gary Tipton and Reverend Jim Lilley Reverend Larry Tankersley officiating. Burial will be held in Browns Gap Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Saturday 4:00 PM ~ 8:00 PM EDT Sunday 12:00 PM ~ 2:30 PM EDT
