TRENTON, GA: Miggie Irene Porter, age 93 passed away, Monday January 7, 2013. She was a long time caregiver, member of Dade Senior Citizens and member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Carl Porter.
Survivors include her two daughters, Ruby Fay (Gary) Pinkard, Atlanta, GA and Lou Edith Gass, Chattanooga, TN; three sons, Billy Joe Gass, Rising Fawn, GA, Leroy (Doris) Gass, Ft Oglethorpe, GA and James Austin (Diane) Gass, Henegar, AL; two sisters, Emma Jean Edford, and Maybelle Reynolds both of Huntland, AL; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Wednesday, January 9, 2013 in the Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Chris Hagler officiating. Burial will be in Head Springs Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Tuesday 4:00 PM EDT ~ 8:00 PM Wednesday 10:00 AM ~ 12:00 PM
