Mickey was born November 5, 1932 to the late James Monroe and Juanita Thompson Schrudder. He possessed an unwavering faith and was a shining example of a good Christian man. His devotion to his family was unparalleled. Throughout his life, Mickey displayed love, kindness, and selflessness that touched all those fortunate enough to know him.
Mickey's impact extended beyond his immediate family. As a founding member of the Bryant Ruritan club, he dedicated himself to improving his community by serving others. His work ethic was commendable - he retired from Concrete Forms Corporation and Vulcan Iron after years of dedicated service. Mickey found joy in simple pleasures such as gardening, cheering for the Atlanta Braves, and following NASCAR.
His sense of belonging and community were also nurtured by his membership in Ebenezer Baptist Church. Mickey's unwavering faith guided his actions and served as a beacon for others.
Mickey is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Marie Schrudder; their children, Debra (Gary) Arnold and Michael (Tammee) Schrudder; his sister, Betty "Pooh" Sims; his grandchildren, Misti (Barry) Carter, Jason (Jennifer) Arnold, Abby (Josh) Higdon, Mandy Pardue, and Megan (Billy) Wilborn; along with his twelve great-grandchildren.
