Michael James Dodd

Michael James Dodd, age 51, of Bryant, AL, passed away unexpectedly on December 8, 2023.

A Celebration of Life Service is to be held at a later date.

Born to Clyde and Shonee "Sharon" Butler Dodd on February 27, 1972, Michael was always known for his one-of-a-kind character and personality. His first love was basketball. He played all through his school years, excelling every game. He truly was a star on the court. Michael found solace in the simple things; he could sit and watch the rain for as long as it lasted. He loved being outdoors and was an avid fan of anything science-fiction related. He was definitely a tinkerer as he would try to fix just about anything. Michael was a father, son, brother, and friend. His memory will surely live on in the hearts and minds of those closest to him.

Left to cherish Michael's memory are his son, Hunter Dodd; his mother, Sharon Dodd; his brother, Nathan Dodd, his aunt, Linda Lawson; great nieces and nephews, Laina, Madison and Makenzie Dodd; and a host of family and friends that will miss him very much.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Dodd; his brother, Robby Dodd; and his sister, Shannon Dodd.
