Mike Forester

HEAD RIVER, GA: Michael Gordon Forester, age 65, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2020. Mr. Forester was born July 17, 1954 in Ft. Riley, Kansas to Gordon Forester and the late Jeanette Forester. At the age of one year old, Mike’s parents moved to Lookout Mountain where he resided until his death.

Mike was a graduate of Dade County High School and worked most of his life as a machinist in the tufting industry. He was a member of Head River Baptist Church where he served as Chairman of Deacons and music director.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanette Forester, and brother Terry Forester.

Survivors include his loving wife of forty-four years, Betty Forester; three daughters Tamra (Ricky) Pendergrass, Breanna (Rashad) Forester, and Kiara (Randall) Johnson; son Jeffrey (Whitney) Forester; three grandchildren Cailie and Sarah Pendergrass and Faith Forester; father Gordon Forester, and brother Steve Forester.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM EST on Sunday, February 9, 2020 in the Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Michael Dunwoody officiating. Interment will follow in the Forester Family Cemetery with Billy Matthews, Charlie Alsobrook, Adam Moore, Eddie Schrock, Gene Davis and Glen Stoker serving as pallbearers.

Family will receive friends no Friday from 4:00 PM ~ 8:00 PM EST; Sunday 11:00 AM ~ 1:00 PM EST.
