RISING FAWN, GA: Mary Joe Hawes, age 69, passed away Saturday October 26, 2013. She was a lifelong resident of Dade County, she owned and operated Jody’s Pet & Groom Shop in fort Oglethorpe, GA, before retiring,. She enjoyed arts, crafts and pottery.
She was preceded in death by her son Larry Abbott.
She is survived by her son Michael Abbott, parents Charles and Elizabeth Gwinn, brother Charles (Slugger) and wife Dianne Guinn, 3 grand children Thomas and wife Keesha Abbott, Kayla Abbott and Corbin Abbott, all of Rising Fawn.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, October 28, 2013 in the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Hooker Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Sunday 12-8 PM and Monday 11 AM - 2 PM.
