Mary Lavon Harris

Mary Lavon Harris, 60, of Trenton, GA passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2024 with her loving family at her side.

A Celebration of Life service to honor Mary's life will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 12:00 PM ET in the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Ware officiating. 

Friends and loved ones are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the service hour.

Mary was born on July 15, 1963 to the late Ernest Mobarry and Rebecca Thomas. Mary was always known for her smile and loving disposition. She was full of life and would bring joy and love with her everywhere she went. Mary was a mother to everyone she encountered and will be remembered with sincere fondness. Mary was of the Baptist faith and that faith inspired her every day of her life. Additionally, she loved cooking for her family and friends and spending as much time as possible with them and her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.

Mary's memory lives on through her devoted husband of nearly 40 years, Donald Harris; her son, William (Maria) Harris; her daughters, Barbra Harris, Roseanna (Kyle) Gass, and Donna (Channing) Harris; 8 adoring grandchildren; numerous extended family and a host of friends.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Tapestry Hospice, the Dade County Emergency Medical Services, CHI Memorial - CCU Nursing Staff, and JMS Russell Metals for providing compassionate care and support during Mary's final days.
