Marvin Brett Wooten

Marvin Brett Wooten, age 56, of Trenton, passed away Sunday, September 8, 2024 at Dade Health & Rehab. 

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM ET on Friday, September 13, 2024 at Payne Gap Cemetery in Flat Rock, AL with Johnny Ellison and Ricky Crabtree officiating. No visitation will be held at the funeral home. 

Marvin, a native of Newport News, Virginia was born on January 30, 1968 to Robert Mitchell Wooten and  Ethel Faye Henegar Wooten. He retired from Peabody’s in Newport News after many years and moved to Dade County in 2009. Marvin enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching NASCAR, spending time with his family and his dogs. He was an avid Pittsburg Steelers fan and will forever be remembered as a loving, dependable person who was always willing to help anyone in need.

Marvin is preceded in death by his mother, Ethel Faye Henegar Wooten. 

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 34 years, Korinna Marie Wooten; father, Robert (Shirley) Wooten; sons, Kevin (Meghan) Wooten and Curtis Wooten; sisters, Lisa (Paul) Slade, Audrey (Hugh) Fesperman and Regina Wooten; brothers, Wayne (Donna) Wooten and Regan Wooten as well as two loving grandchildren, Lukas Wooten and Rylee Wooten.

The family would like to send special thanks to the staff of Dade Health & Rehab and to Hearth Hospice for their compassion and care given to Marvin during his final days.

Arrangements for Marvin have been entrusted to the care of Moore Funeral Home, Trenton, Georgia.
