MARTILA TOWNSON BRYANT, AL: Martila Townson, age 87, born April 16, 1931, went home to be with the Lord August 29, 2018. She was a member of Straightway Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-five years, Kenneth Townson; her parents George and Hattie Holder, and other family members. She is survived by her daughter Sheila Blevins; adopted daughter, Vicky Townson, both of Bryant, AL.; grandson Brian (Rosie) Blevins, South Pittsburg, TN; great-granddaughter Madelyn Blevins; great-grandson Ethan Blevins; step-great-granddaughter Madison Hensley all of South Pittsburg, TN.; one brother George Holder, Bryant, AL; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-laws; nieces, nephews, and various other family members. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, September 1, 2018 in the Bryant Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Bone officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Friday 4:00 PM ~ 8:00 PM; Saturday 11:00 AM ~ 2:00 PM EDT.
