LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, GA: Mamie Belle Parker, age 86, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, April 9, 2013. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother that enjoyed crocheting, reading, and cooking. She worked at Good Shepard Day Care seven years. She was of the Holiness faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband Allen Parker, Sr.; parents John and Edna Burroughs, great-grandsons Paeton and Paxton Parker; sister Eileen Smitherman Taylor, brother Marvin Burroughs.
Survivors include her daughter Shirley (Erttie) Veal; sons Allen “Butch” (Wanda) Parker, Michael (Gloria) Parker; seven grandchildren Jeremy (Shontae) Parker, David (Bracie) Parker, Jr., Faith (Josh) Triplett, Eric Veal, Amanda Parker, Valerie Parker, and Michelle (Blake) Gifford; five great-grandchildren Preslie Parker, Paesli Jo Parker, Blakely Gifford, Lucas Gifford, Addie Triplett; sisters Jeanette Martin, Jeraldine “Jerri” Wright; brothers Luther Burroughs, Thomas (Nancy) Burroughs; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM EDT Saturday, April 13, 2013 in the Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Dean Smitherman, Brother Dallas Walker, Brother Shelton Black, and Brother David Gilliam officiating. Burial will be held in Lake Hills Memorial Garden.
Visitation Thursday 4:00 ~ 8:00 PM; Friday 2:00 ~ 8:00 PM; Saturday 9:00 AM ~ 12:00 PM
