Born on April 15, 1924, in the loving embrace of Raynold and Lula Musser Peterson in the Bryant community on Sand Mountain, Lucille dedicated her life to nurturing her family and serving her community. Together with her beloved husband, Alvan, she raised her children in the warmth of a home filled with love. Lucille's faith was the cornerstone of her life. As an active member of the Floral Crest Seventh-Day Adventist Church, she exemplified a life of service to her family, church, and community. Known for her gentle spirit, it was the simple joys of life that brought her true happiness — whether it was tending to her garden, preserving the fruits of her labor, or watching the beautiful birds that frequented her yard.
She is survived by her sons, Charran (Jill) Graham, Dr. Leon (Alice) Graham, and Dr. Ronal (Marie) Graham; her son in-law, John Wear: her sister, Elsie Peterson; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a wide circle of friends from her church and community. Lucille will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
In addition to her parents, Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Alvan Graham, Sr.; daughter, Florabelle Wear; sisters, Virginia Page, Evelyn Wilson, and Ruth Richards; and her brother, Frank Peterson.
