LOUISE BOWEN
New Salem, GA: Willie Louise Bowen, age 78, a lifelong resident of New Salem Community passed away, Sunday, March 8, 2015. She was a homemaker and member of New Salem United Methodist Church. She was also a member of New Salem Community Center, Quilting Club and New Salem Neighborhood Watch.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Cleo Baker; brothers, Franklin Baker and Granville Baker; sister, Winnie Biddle
She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Jim Bowen; daughters and son-in-laws, Debbie and Randy Minor; Linda and Dennis Whitmore; Carla and Tim Porter; sons and daughter-in-law, Terry and Trish Bowen and David Taber; sisters-in-law, Shirley Baker and Bertha Baker; brother-in-law, Yuell Biddle; eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 13, at 1:00 PM at the New Salem United Methodist Church with Minister Jodi Ihfe officiating. Burial will follow in Hawkins Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be past and present members of Boy Scout Troop #29.
Visitation Thursday 4:00 PM ~ 8:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home, Trenton; Friday 12:00 noon ~ 1:00 pm at the Church
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to New Salem United Methodist Church.
