LORENE SCOTT-SMITH
BRYANT, AL: Flora Lorene Scott-Smith, age 85, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother; sister and friend passed away September 28, 2020. She was a member of Straightway Baptist Church.
Lorene loved her family, quilting, and gardening. Her home was always opened to everyone to come and visit.
She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-nine years Rev. George H. Scott; sons Mike Scott and George Everett Scott; granddaughter Halie Price Swafford; parents Clyde and Carrie Wooden.
Left to cherish her memory are husband Carl Andrew Smith; her daughters Debra (Roger) McCarty, Bryant, AL., Phyllis Thomas, South Pittsburg, TN., Alisha (Randy) Cook, Bryant, AL.; eleven grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; sisters Mary (Bernard) Hester, Florence, AL., Reba Blevins, South Pittsburg, TN.; brothers David Wooden and James (Reba) Wooden of South Pittsburg, TN; nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM EDT Thursday, October 1 , 2020 in the Bryant Chapel with Brother Brent Smith officiating. Interment will be held in Ebenezer Cemetery.
Family will receive friends Wednesday 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Thursday 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM EDT.
