Mrs. Lois Ann Hughes

Lois Ann Hughes, 71, of Flat Rock, Al. passed away Sunday, January 23 2022.She was born September 3, 1950 to the late Willis and Birthel (Thurmond) Brown. Lois enjoyed her pet cats, cooking, sewing, and other crafts. She attended Payne Gap Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, James Hughes, sisters Kayellen and Melisa Brown.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Leeann (Richard) Cagle, Gloria (Wayne) Durham, Paula (Jeff) Schneider, Kendra (Edgar) Brown, Tammy Hancock; son Burkett (Pamela) Black; 12 grandchildren, Zachary Cagle, Levi Cagle, Brock Cagle, Colton Lane Black, Charles Matthew Stone, Erin Brown, Cason Durham, Aletha Shelton, Keisha Guffey, Chris Jones, Pamela Plemons, Brandon Jones; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers Grady (Janie) Brown, Rossville, GA, Roy (Ann) Brown, Bryant, AL, Arlon (Linda) Brown, Ringgold, GA, and Edgar (Kendra) Brown, Flat Rock, AL; sisters Sybil (Hershel) Chapman, Trenton, GA, Teresa Evans, Flat Rock, AL, Denica (Ken) West, Trenton GA, and a host of nieces, nephews. and friends.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Payne Gap Cemetery with Pastor Ertie Veal officiating.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Moore Funeral Home in Trenton, GA.
