Linda Sue Bradford

Linda Sue Hawkins Bradford, age 76, of Trenton, GA passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 15, 2023. 

Linda was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Robert Dion Bradford, her parents Gene and Nell Hawkins, and her brother Douglas Hawkins. She is survived by her loving son, Bruce Dion (Debbie) Bradford of Cleveland, TN; her brother, Jim (Peggy) Hawkins of Valley Head, AL; and godsons, Bobby (Lacy) Bradford and Jeremy (Lori) Wheeler. Linda also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends who will cherish the memories they shared together.

Linda's passion for nursing led her to graduate from Erlanger School of Nursing and UTC Chattanooga. Throughout her career, she pursued further education and achieved several advanced certificates from different colleges. Linda's love for adventure took her to 18 countries and 48 states as she indulged in her passion for travel. She found solace in reading and singing convention music.

During her professional journey, Linda served as Nurse Manager at the Walker County Health Department and later at the Dade County Health Department before retiring. Her dedication to caring for others was evident in the compassion she showed toward her patients.

Linda was a faithful member of Trenton Methodist Church.

A celebration of Linda's life will be held on Tuesday, July 18 at 11:00 AM in the Trenton chapel of Moore Funeral Home. The service will be officiated by Brother Will and Amy Garrett. Following the service, Linda will be laid to rest at Hanna Cemetery in Rising Fawn, GA.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Monday and Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the start of the service.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Legacy of Cleveland and Hearth Hospice for their compassionate care during Linda's final days.
