Lester "Paul" Hayes

August 14, 1947 — December 15, 2024

Emblem

Lester Paul Hayes, 77, of Trenton, GA, passed away on December 15, 2024. Paul ascended to the Heavens after suffering a series of “unfortunate” events—Paul is loved and will be missed by many. We pray his Sweet Spirit has ascended to Heavenly Realms and he is reunited with his favorite sibling, Erlinda Hayes Stieglitz, whose Spirit soared into the “arms of the angels” in 2007. Paul’s “FINAL EARTHYLY CURTAIN CALL” will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at 1:00 at Moore Funeral Home in Trenton, Georgia.

Paul served in the Artillery Division of the United States Marine Corps from 1967-1972, and he was an Actor for his entire adult life. Before moving to the Trenton area in 2020, Paul was an Actor in Hollywood, having worked in over 200 TV shows, Movies, Commercials, Plays and Industrials. He’s been blessed to work with everyone from Frank Sinatra to Betty White. Whether he was making a living as an Actor or of the kind of work he was doing, Paul had a smile on his face — he made others smile or laugh daily. He worked in multiple driving jobs when acting was slow, including being an Uber/Lyft Driver, and he owned and operated a taxicab for Red and White Taxi Company in West Hollywood, California. He usually owned a truck, “just in case” someone needed help moving. (If you are interested in watching his latest movie, it’s on AMAZON PRIME—The name of it is “ALLIENTED”—Paul played the alien hunter. (There are 2 movies by this name on AMAZON PRIME and Paul’s is the one from 2021).

Paul’s hobbies included swimming (especially with some of his favorite folks, Secrece and Dan Alexander), parasailing, hiking and watching old movies, especially when he watched them with me (his wife).

Those who love and miss Paul the most include his wife of 21 years, Sandra Hayes, his stepchildren Cobey Everett, Laura Everett, Melissa Evans, Jeremy Evans, April Duncan, Terry Duncan, his siblings John Stieglitz, Wes Hayes and Bill Hayes, his nephews Gavin and Darin Stieglitz, and his niece, Shawnie Dutton, his step-grandchildren, James Jordan, Vanessa Jordan, Blake Jordon, Jaki Jordan, Amity Grace and Abigail Martin, and his 5 step great-grandchildren, Mason Jordan, Austin Jordan, Jaxon Jordan, Mikal Jordan and Luanne Jordan.

After praying about which Reverend Paul would prefer to Officiate his “FINAL EARTHLY CURTAIN CALL,” the answer hit me “hard”—The Reverend Sandra Hayes, me, his wife—Yep, I really am a Licensed/Ordained Minister, even though I haven’t preached since the JIMMY HALE MISSION in Birmingham, Alabama decades ago when I was studying and apprenticing for the Ministry—I’m still not sure why I was called into the Ministry; but, I know I was called as surely as I know I’ll never have, and don’t want, a church of my own, I still “know.” The day and time of Paul’s “FINAL EARTHLY CURTAIN CALL” will be Tuesday, January 7, 2025 from noon until service time at 1:00 P.M. The good people of Trenton, especially Law Enforcement and Veterans, are invited and are very welcome!
