Mrs. Leola Owens

Leola M Travis Owens, age 93, from Trenton Georgia, went to be with her Lord, her husband Joe, and her daughter Rosalynn on Thursday, December 31, 2020.
She was born September 10, 1927 in Tiftonia GA to Floyd E and Flerna Houts Travis. She was married to her loving husband for 63 years who proceeded her in death, Joseph R Owens. They had a beautiful daughter Rosalynn, who they dearly Loved, she lived a short 11 years. They were members of Moon Lake Baptist Church for many years.
She was proceeded in death by her brother, Floyd E Travis Jr. of Hixson, TN and her sister, Georgia Tapper of Hammond, IN.
Survivors are her nieces and nephews, Carolyn ( John) Shadwick of Murphysboro, TN. Eileen (Daniel) Gastylo of San Antonio, TX. Kent (Linda) Tapper of North Potomac, MD. Lee (Diane) Tapper of Rochester, MN. Gary (Sheri) Travis of Sandy Springs, GA. Jim (Mary Jo)Travis of Hixson, TN. Floyd Chip (Patty) Travis of Soddy Daisy, TN. Donna Ray (John) Jacobs of Lawrenceville, GA. So many great nieces and nephews and cousins.
The family will receive visitors on Sunday, January 3, 2021 from 1pm till 3pm at Moore Funeral Home in Trenton, Georgia. A short graveside service will follow at Payne Cemetery with Curtis Bridges officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family asks you to make a donation to Shriners Hospital for Children in honor of Leola and Joseph Owens. This was very close and dear to their hearts and would mean the world to their memory. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
