James Lanthan Dodson, 59, of Trenton, GA passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 9, 2022. He was born June 22, 1962 to Larry and the late Flora Lee Dodson. Lanthan was a die-hard Georgia Bulldogs and Dade County sports fan. He loved traveling to Pigeon Forge to ride the trolley and often visited the Ocoee River to walk the Olympic Bridge. He was loved by many and will be dearly missed. Lanthan says “Go Dawgs!”.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Geraldine Dodson, Homer and Willie Mae Wilbanks; and uncles, Steve Dodson, Charles Wilbanks and Leon Wilbanks.
Left to cherish his memory are father, Larry (Shirley) Dodson; sisters, Beverly Wildman and Tanya Geddie; nieces and nephews, Hunter Wildman, Lauren Southern, Caleb Wheeler, Madison Geddie, Jada Geddie and Dylan Geddie.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM ET on Saturday, February 12, 2022 in the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Ted Camp officiating. He will be laid to rest at Lake Hills Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 11, 2022 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM ET and on Saturday from 11:00 AM – 1:30 PM.
