KENNETH REEVES
BRYANT, AL: Kenneth Leroy Reeves, age78, born March 14, 1936, went to sleep in Jesus January 8, 2015. He was known for his love of family and friends, and for his service and leadership to his Church and community. He enjoyed spending time with young people, enjoying nature, farming, Bible Study, and making music. He was an elder of Floral Crest Seventh Day Adventist, Pathfinders Leader, and Sabbath School Teacher. He was a charter member of Bryant Ruritan Club.
He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-five years, Minnie Lou Smith Reeves; parents Johney Lee Reeves and Hazel Torber Reeves; grandchildren Ethan Reeves, Sara Pemberton, and Caitlin Meharry; sister Corrine York; brother Manuel Reeves.
Survivors include his wife, Ardis Benedict Reeves; daughters Patricia Reeves, Anita (Charlie) Pemberton, step-daughter Cindy (Vern) Fisk; sons Kenny (Cheryl) Reeves, Stanley (Michelle) Reeves, stepson Har (Suely) Mahdeem; nine grandchildren, Coey Reeves, Sarah (Simon) Szuba, Sonny Pemberton, Robin (Sabrina) Pemberton, Jenna Wright, Nathan Reeves, Nikki Reeves, Nathan (Kieria) Meharry, Shaila Meharry; eight great-grandchildren Kaylana and Andy Pemberton, Abbi and Alli Pemberton, Emily Spoons, Kierah Reeves, Caroline and Lillian Szuba; brother John L. (Joan) Reeves; many cousins nieces, nephews, and host of friends.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday January 11, 2015 in the Bryant Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Pastor Carlis Clinton officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Crest Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Saturday 4:00 PM ~ 8:00 PM EST Sunday 12:00 PM ~ 2:00 PM EST
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Floral Crest School, Worthy Student Fund, 1228 County Road 89, Bryant, AL 35958.
