KENNETH BETHUNE
TRENTON, GA: Kenneth Richard Bethune, age 81 passed away January 28, 2015. He was a successful business owner of Ken’s Shoes in Red Bank for twenty-five years. He loved hunting, gardening, and flowers. He attended Rising Fawn Baptist Church.
He was a two-time Korean War veteran with the 82nd Air Born Division. He received the Purple Heart for his service in the US Army.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Nick Criscuoli, parents Burell Bethune and Annie Canada, step-father James Canada, brothers Eddie Bethune and Benny Bethune, sister J. C. Head.
Survivors include his loving wife of sixty-one years, Sue; daughters Vickie (Ron) McBryar, Bryant, AL; Donna Levitt ( Martin), Chattanooga, TN; sons Kenny Bethune and Randy Bethune of Trenton, GA; sister Gloria Owens, Trenton, GA; ten grandchildren Shane Wells, Lacee Varnell, Randy Bethune, Chase Jolander, Nina Brock, Wesley Bethune, Tristan Jolander, Lindsey Levitt, Hunter McBryar ; eleven great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, January 30, 2015 in the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Pastor Tommy Crider officiating. Interment will follow in Lake Hills Memorial Gardens. Military honors provided by Sequatchie Valley Veterans Honor Guard.
Visitation will be held Thursday 4:00 PM ~ 8:00 PM; Friday 12:00 PM ~ 2:00 PM
