SODDY DAISY, TN: Karen “Cat” Brown Hodges, age 64, went home to be with her Lord & Savior on December 10, 2020 surrounded by her family.
Karen was the daughter of the late Reverend Wade and Mickey Brown. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She dedicated her life to the Lord on August 28, 2019. Karen had a God given talent to play the piano, write songs and sing. She loved to just sit down at the piano and play for hours.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Frankie Gatlin and grandson, Jaxon Ryder.
Left to cherish her memory is her spouse of 27 years, Randy Hodges of Soddy Daisy, TN; son, Antuan (Jessica) Brown of Jasper, TN; two daughters, Tiffany (Andrew) Powell of Chickamauga, GA and Whitney Dehlinger of Trenton, GA; nine grandchildren, Madisyne Powell, Braylie Brown, Halle Brown, Douglas Powell, Lucas Powell, Emily Dehlinger, Charleigh Dehlinger, Tanner Brown, Remington Dehlinger; nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, December 14, 2020 in the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Reverend Andrew Powell officiating. She will be laid to rest at Baptist Cemetery in Trenton, GA.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 13, 2020 from 3:00 – 7:00 PM and on Monday from 12:00 until the service hour.
The family would like to express a heartfelt Thank You to Erlanger Palliative Care, especially NP Christine Dominguez, NP Katie Stone and nurse Kara Sheppard.
Also, a big Thank You to Hearth Hospice, specifically nurse Jessica LaShure, nurse Jasmyn and Chaplin Kevin Becker.
