June C Sims

June Sims, 79, passed away at her home in Bryant, Alabama on May 10, 2023. She was born on June 7, 1943 in Bridgeport, Alabama to Charles and Virgie Castle Cranfield. June was a homemaker who dedicated herself to her family and her home.

June was a loving wife to her husband John L. Sims, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her parents, son Jerry Dean Sims and brother Carl Cranfield. 

June will be dearly missed by her surviving family and friends including her daughters Debbie (Jon) Sims Fulmer and Rhonda Sims; sons John Sims, Terry (Debra) Sims, James Sims and Ronnie Sims; sisters Jean Stagner, Jenny Merritt and Jane (Mike) Talley; brother Jimmy Cranfield; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren—all of whom meant the world to her.

June enjoyed traveling and loafering in her spare time. She cherished all the memories she created during these times with her family. She was a member of Straightway Baptist Church.

Funeral services for June will be held at the Bryant Chapel of Moore Funeral Home on Friday May 12th at 2:00 PM ET with Brother Gary Bone and Sam Whited officiating.  She will be laid to rest at Oak Lawn Memorial Park. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 - 8:00 PM ET and on Friday from 11:00 AM until the service hour. 

June lived an accomplished life with a big heart that spread love throughout everyone around her. Her kindness will never be forgotten and she will forever be missed by all who knew her.
