If you had the privilege of knowing Julia then you know she loved others so well! It was her gift. If you were a stranger, you wouldn’t be long. Julia loved The Lord. Her life was a testimony of how to walk in His light and be a faithful servant to his plan. She cherished Ronald. Most would say, she spoiled him entirely too much. Their love story began at the age of 15 and lasted 52 years. They were a team , devoted to each other, through good times, bad times and uncertain times. Rodney and Eric had the definition of a mother, one who loved unconditional, deeply and whole heartedly. Both boys have her heart and have grown into strong men because of their parents example. She was the very best Memee to Kaitlyn, Braxton, Zariah, Kiera, Brixley, Slade and Jaden. If they wanted it, Memee would find a way. Her house was full of snacks, prizes, laughter and love. She always met them with a smile and a warm hug. They were her precious babies. Those of us who were blessed to marry into the Morgan family were loved from the start and Julia taught all of us what it looks like to lead a family. It has made our marriages stronger watching her example. How she loved her brothers, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. She didn’t just know you, she invested in your life and built a relationship with you. No one could cook like Julia! When she cooked for you, it was enough for you plus a small army. This comes from being the only girl in a family of five brothers before her! Her community was important to her. She loved her church family and honored them with meals, songs, piano playing and time spent. Her heart was big enough for everyone and this world was blessed by her! If Julia could leave us all with any advice, I feel sure that she would say, “Don’t waste a day! Love God and love others. Spend quality time with those you love. Work hard and take time to laugh. You have so much to be thankful for.”
2 Timothy 4:7, 8 says it best, “ I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race. I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness."
