FLAT ROCK AL: Johnny Wayne Long age 69 passed away, Saturday, December 13, 2014. He worked several years with Pilgrim’s Pride as a truck driver.
Johnny loved living on the river, fishing and spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Eugene Long; parents, Roosevelt “Bud” Long and Eva Louise Long; sisters, Betty Smith and Frances Clark.
Survivors include his loving and caring wife of 48 years, Kathy Long daughters and son in laws, Teresa and Darryl Townson, Crystal Smith; son and daughter in law, John and Cyndi Long; special friend, Gary Posey; sisters and brothers; Lucille York, Margaret (Larry) Dover, Marcina Griffith; Jack (Charlene) Long and Barbara Long; twelve grandchildren and four great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM EST Tuesday, December 16, 2014 in the Bryant Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Reverend Joe Cooper and Brother Jackie Smith officiating. Burial will be held in Payne’s Gap Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Monday 11:00 AM ~ 8:00 PM EST
