John Stanley Ricker, 57, of Trenton, GA, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2020.
John was a clever, self-taught entrepreneur and handyman who loved to laugh, tell fantastic stories, and spend time outdoors gardening, hiking, scuba diving, fishing, and playing with his young grandchildren. He was raised in Newport, New Hampshire, and grew up with his mother, Joan, and three siblings, Mike, Sandy (Nikki) and Debbie. He moved to Florida in his early 20’s, joined the National Guard, went on to pioneer his own air conditioning business and spent more than 30 years in the sunshine state. John and his wife moved to Trenton, GA, four years ago to retire and hike in beautiful Cloudland Canyon.
John is survived by his devoted wife, Sheila, who gave him 25 years of peace and love; and loving children: eldest daughter Stephanie Ricker and husband Christopher Drzal; son Brian Ricker and wife Shannon Ricker; youngest daughter Stacey Ricker; and stepdaughter Jenny Eppard and husband Derrick Linde; as well as six grandchildren Alexander, Jacob, Michael, James, Jayden and Chloe.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Trenton First Baptist Church on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at 10:00 AM with Brother Eddie Cantrell officiating. Immediately following the service, the family invites you to remain at the church for visitation / fellowship in John's honor.
