Mr. John Wayne Hurt

ROCK SPRING, GA: John Wayne Hurt, 64, passed away at his place of work on July 23, 2020. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed playing guitar, fishing, and son Jonathan was his pride and joy. He was a hardworking man of faith who knew how to have a good time. He was a collector of all things vintage. He will be deeply missed and will forever dwell in the house of the Lord.

He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Mary Hurt; brother Charles Hurt; sister Joann Ashworth.

Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Darlene; son and daughter-in-law Jonathan and Kristin Hurt of Rock Spring; two grandchildren Addi and Ansley Hurt; brother James Edward (Charlotte) Hurt; Donnie (Sherry) Daniels, Jennifer and Kevin Haswell, brother-in-law Lester Baker; several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM EDT on Thursday, July 30, 2020 at the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Gary Quarles officiating. Burial will follow in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 from 2:00 PM EDT ~ 8:00 PM EDT; Thursday 10:00 AM ~ 12:00 PM EDT.
