John Norton Glassey

John Norton Glassey, age 79, of Trenton, GA, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

A funeral service to honor John's life will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at 2:00 PM in the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Robby Dunn officiating. He will be laid to rest at Gwinnett Memorial Park in Lawrenceville, GA on Thursday, June 6 at 1:00 PM with a graveside service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM.

John was born on March 19, 1945 to the late Elwood and Dessie Pearl Norton Glassey. He lived most of his life in the Atlanta, GA area before relocating to Trenton, GA during retirement. John was an avid reader and golfer. He enjoyed traveling and going on cruises with his beloved wife Linda. A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, John was also a member of Rising Fawn Baptist Church.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Linda Glassey; daughters, Priscilla (Todd) Wooten and Stephanie (Andy) Jones; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of friends. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his brother James Chauker.

The family wishes to express their gratitude towards Nurse Brandi, Crystal, Amanda, Chris and the entire staff at Hearth Hospice for their compassionate care during John's final days.

John will be fondly remembered for the kindness and love he shared with those around him.

May he rest in peace knowing he was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.
