Joe Wade

William Joseph "Joe" Wade, age 84, of the Bryant Community on Sand Mountain, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, July 27, 2024.

Joe was born on December 20, 1939 to the late Dewitt and Dorothy Gass Wade. He was a true nature-loving soul who was known for his quick wit and unrelenting sense of humor, always a prankster with those around him. Joe was a walking encyclopedia of information, so full of history and was more than willing to share random facts and scientific knowledge. His presence will be missed dearly by all who had the privilege of knowing him. 

Left to cherish Joe's memory and continue his legacy are his children, Jessica (Joshua) Albritton and Charles "Charlie" Wade; his siblings, Sandra Buttram, Leon Wade, and Larry Wade; one grandchild, Charles Dewitt Wade, II; and a host of extended family and friends. 

Joe was preceded in death by his loving wife, Juanita Wade; son, William Joseph "Billy Joe" Wade, Jr.; and his brother, Donnie Wade. 

May he rest in eternal peace.
