Joe D. McBryar, age 76, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 15, 2021 at his home in Trenton Georgia. He was born July 13, 1944 in Alton Park, Tennessee to Alfred “Tootus” and Bertha (Holder) McBryar. Joe was an avid collector of Bibles which he would gladly show off to anyone willing to sit and listen to him talk about his Lord and Savior. His endearing childlike faith was evident to everyone he spoke to and in all of the many churches he frequently attended throughout the community, especially on homecomings. If the doors of the church were open Joe would be there requesting the congregation to sing his favorite hymn “Have a Little Talk with Jesus”, which is without a doubt what he is doing now.
He is survived by two brothers, Jerry and his wife Stella McBryar, Carol Ray and his wife Charlotte McBryar, niece Kelly and her husband Heath Pemberton, niece Buffy and her husband Rusty McBryar along with many other nieces and nephews.
He was proceeded in death by parents Alfred and Bertha McBryar and siblings Imogene Renfro-Tate, Berniece Smith, Charlotte Fossett and Theodore McBryar.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at Poplar Springs Cemetery with Brother Shane Cloud officiating.
