Joe Forshee

Joe Fredrick Forshee, 86, of Bryant, AL passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, April 19, 2023.

Joe was PaPa to his grandchildren and friend to many.  He spent many days fishing, going to the flea market and he always had something to trade if you were up for it.  Joe believed in family and loved his times with his grandchildren more than any hobby he ever had.  He was a member of Higdon Holiness Church for over fifty years and will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM ET on Sunday, April 23, 2023 at Higdon Holiness Church with Brother Edwin Spurgeon and Brother Jody Gray officiating.  He will be laid to rest at Oak Lawn Memorial Park in Bryant, AL.

Visitation will be held at the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home on Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM and at Higdon Holiness Church on Sunday from 10:00 AM ET until the funeral hour.

He is survived by daughter, Starla (Tony) Strickland; sons, Randy (Marcia) Forshee and Brad (Tina) Forshee; sister, Sheryl Dickerson; brothers, J.P. (Liz) Forshee and Danny (Vicky) Forshee; grandchildren, Cherie’ (Ryan) Sanders, Josh (Katie) Forshee, Natasha (Josh) Aragaki, Rashae McCreary, Brittany (Miguel) Hernandez and Branson (Whitney) Strickland; thirteen great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Forshee; mother, Mildred Forshee; and siblings, Lebron Forshee, J.W. Forshee and Vickie Holman.

The family would also like to thank Enhabit Home Health and Hospice for their compassionate care and sends a special thanks to Judy Chisnall.
