Jimmy Howard

James "Jimmy" Edward Howard, age 73, of Trenton, GA passed away peacefully on June 2, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

A funeral service to honor Jimmy's life will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at 1:00 PM in the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Randy Tinker officiating. He will be laid to rest at Gib Dock Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM and on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until the service hour. 

Born on August 22, 1950, to the late William and Ada Gray Howard, family was the cornerstone of Jimmy's life. His greatest joy was spending precious moments with his loved ones, especially watching his grandchildren play sports. Additionally, he enjoyed fishing and cheering for Alabama football.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, LaMerle Howard; daughter, Amanda Counts; brother, Windell (Helen) Howard; sisters, Willie Mae Bishop and Teresa Michaels; grandchildren, Eric (Kayleigh) Counts, Kami Counts, and Zack Counts; great-grandchildren, Iris Counts and Ivy Counts; bonus grandchildren, Hallie Hartline, Rusty Hartline, and Bailey Witt; several extended family members, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. 

In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his brothers Walter, Allen, Ricky, and Charles Howard, and his sister, Patsy Ann Ledford.
