TRENTON, GA: “J.B.” Jesse Dewayne Buffington, age 69, passed away peacefully January 23, 2014 surrounded by his wife and daughters. Jesse was a devoted family man who loved spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and friends. He was an active member of Trenton First Baptist Church.
Jesse opened J.B.’s Variety Store in October, 1998, which was his joy and passion. He loved the people that came through the doors – especially the kids.
He was preceded in death by his parents Charlie and Mae Buffington, infant son Dewayne Buffington, brothers C. W. Buffington and Leon Buffington.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Sue Morgan Buffington; three daughters, Barbie (Cory) Evans, AL; Robyn Buffington, Trenton; Jessica (Brian) Geselbracht, Chattanooga; three grandchildren-Sidney, Sam, and Jesse; one nephew Barry Buffington; and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held 2PM Saturday, January 25, 2014 at the Trenton First Baptist Church with brother Eddie Cantrell officiating. Burial will follow in Trenton Baptist Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday 1:00 PM ~ 8:00 PM EST at the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home; Saturday 12:00 ~ 2:00 PM at Trenton First Baptist Church. Please leave your memories and prayers at www.moorefuneralhometrenton.com
